Skilled Employment Experience - Closely Related Occupations
You can only claim points for employment if it is in your nominated skilled occupation or a closely related skilled occupation. A closely related skilled occupation is an occupation listed under the same four (4) digit ANZSCO Unit Group.
If you claim points for employment that is not in your nominated skilled occupation or a closely related skilled occupation, and you subsequently lodge a visa application, it may be refused.
More information on Unit Groups can be found at: https://www.abs.gov.au/ANZSCO

The Government is closely monitoring migration and visa settings to ensure they are consistent with public health measures, are flexible and do not displace job opportunities for Australians, so that Australia can effectively respond to the immediate and subsequent impacts of COVID-19. As such, targeted invitation rounds have occurred since May 2020.
The Department will run quarterly invitation rounds for the remainder of 2020-21 program year. The next invitation round will run in January 2021.

When completing your Expression of Interest (EOI) you should select Partner as your relationship status if you have a spouse or de facto partner.
The Department’s definitions of these terms are available at: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-support/glossary#
Do not use the relationship status ‘engaged’ if this person is also your de facto partner.
You should ensure this information remains current throughout the life of your EOI.
